Kat Bramley

Executive Director

Clearwater has been a part of Kat’s life since she started as a camper on the Harbor in 1996. She was a camper for seven years, a leadership, and a counselor for four summers. Before returning to camp in 2021, Kat pursued careers in both education, working with students ranging from elementary age to undergraduates, and in theater, as an actor and teaching artist in the Chicago theater community. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Performance.  Since rejoining Clearwater in recent years, Kat has served in various leadership positions, most recently as Associate Director in 2023 and Camp Director in 2024 and 2025. She plays a key role in the success of camp, and we know that she will be an excellent Executive Director, following in the footsteps of many strong, confident women who came before her over the past 90+ years.

A Message from Kat:From the age of 10, Clearwater Camp and the Clearwater community have played a vital role in my life. Whether it was moving to a foreign country, going to graduate school, or starting my own business, Clearwater instilled in me the confidence, values, and work ethic necessary to succeed. While I have been lucky to pursue many different passions and professional aspirations, the drive to inspire young hearts and minds and build community has been constant throughout my journey.  I am humbled and honored to be able to bring all of my different passions and life experiences to the role of Camp Director.
