2nd Session: Week 2

Greetings Camper Families,

It’s safe to say that camp feels fully back to normal now and we are delighted to be back in our camp routine.  We’ve had trips going and coming from all different units and are loving hearing their stories and trip songs.  Campers are excelling in activities and it’s amazing to hear all the “firsts” announced in the dining hall- firsts bullseyes, first time getting up on skis, first fish caught in fishing, and first time skippering a C-scow.  Our campers are truly amazing and we can’t wait to see them continue to grow and thrive throughout the rest of the session.  Here are a few more highlights from the last week:

• An amazing Sunday regatta with our winning boat being a sunfish!
• A very special History Night in which a panel of amazing alumni share stories from their time at camp and our campers get to ask questions.  This year we had an alumni who is 94 years young and was a camper at Clearwater in the 40’s!
• An incredible night of packouts which included riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, pottery painting, Colonial Williamsburg, fishing, and survival skills.  
• A very exciting return of our sea kayaking and sailing trips
• A very fun cabin night with tons of different activities including spa night, board games, discing, the m&m game, paddle boarding, and so much more!

We are very excited for an all camp outing tomorrow to Red Arrow Camp for our third annual Carnival Night. Many of our campers have brothers or cousins that go to Red Arrow so we’re looking forward to lots of reunions and a fun inter-camp gathering.
