Greeting Camper Families,
It’s been an eventful week here at camp with tons of highlights to share with you all:
- So many happy trips returning full of stories and songs
- A great carnival with Red Arrow filled with lots of reunions between siblings and cousins
- A very exciting soccer match with Camp Nicolet in which our camper displayed excellent sportsmanship and won 3 to 2.
- A very special second council fire full of trip sparks, singing, games, and lots of activity pins
- An excellent Sunday regatta with perfect sailing wind
- Super fun free activities including knitting, crocheting, paddleboarding, running club, board games, set painting for Mary Poppins and archery.
- An awesome packout day with packouts including play practice, ski show practice/tie-dye, lamp-shade crafting, pottery painting, rock climbing, and fishing with Rob.
- Favorite meals have included:
- Grilled cheese with tomato basil soup
- Butter chicken with roasted cauliflower
- Waffles with peach compote and fresh whipped cream
We can’t wait to welcome many of you to camp in less than a week for Family Day. Here’s the schedule and a few reminders:
1pm Family Cookout
2 pm Ski Show followed by Water Show
3pm Horse Show
3:30 Tennis Finals Match
4:30 Camp Play
* When you arrive to camp, you will be parking in the lot at the top of the hill. We will likely fill up that lot quickly and will do our best to accommodate overflow parking but are expecting a very large crowd so please be patient as we fit everyone in.
* Once you have parked, you may walk down to Mainstay and wait on the porch. Family members will be brought into camp at 1pm so if you arrive before then, be prepared to wait.
*Please leave any dogs or other furry creatures at home.
*Please do not bring your camper candy, food, or other special treats from the outside world (as much as they may ask you to).
*We completely understand taking pictures on your phone but ask that you try to keep cell phone usage to a minimum especially with campers. We want them to be present in the camp environment for our last day together which is very difficult if they are back on phones.
* We will be working throughout the morning to deliver all of the camper luggage to the parking lot outside of Mainstay. If you see your camper’s luggage there already and would like to load it up in your car, you are more than welcome to do that.
Happy Camping,
Kat
